Roasting is an incredible process in which green coffee beans are transformed into brown ones,with a wonderful aroma and full of amazing flavors. What goes into this process, and how does a coffee roastery work? We’ll reveal all that and much more in our courses, right here in our roastery.
We'll teach you the entire process, from purchasing and selecting green coffee to storing it. We'll show youhow to roast samples, which you'll try your hand at yourself, and you'll even get to tastethe results after roasting. You'll learn how a coffee roaster works and what happensto the roasted coffee next.
We offer three different courses, each with a different level and focus, for coffeeenthusiasts, home roasters, and both beginner and advanced roasters.

This course is designed for everyone, even those with no prior roasting experience. We’ll take youon a tour of the roastery and explain everything you need to know to ensure the coffee in yourcup is of the highest quality.
A hands-on course for home roasters, beginners, and coffee enthusiasts.We’ll introduce you to the Link and Roest sample roasters. We’ll explain how bothwork and how to roast coffee on them. You’ll try the entire process yourself androast a variety of different coffee samples.
This training is for those interested in getting into commercial roasting.We will focus on working with a large roaster, creating roast profiles,quality control, and the day-to-day operations of a roastery.
Ondra has been working at our roastery since 2020. He started out as a part-time worker while he was still in University.His work at the roastery turned into a hobby that completely absorbed him within a few months,and he worked his way up from packing coffee to the position of roaster.Although it wasn't his field of study he majored in computer science he gradually made his way into the world of specialty coffee, which won him over, and he wouldn't change this field for anything now. He also enjoys the technical side of the roastery. He's in charge of maintaining all the machines and ensures the roastery runs smoothly.

The training sessions take place right at our roastery, The Naughty Dog, located at Čs. armády 221, Jílové u Prahy. You can find the exact location on the map below.
We will review your reservation and send you an invoice within 24 hours. After paymentis received, you will receive a reservation confirmation and all the necessary course information.
We hold the reservation for 3 days from the date the invoice is issued. If it is not paid within this period, the reservation is automatically canceled.
You don't have to. The basic course and sample roasting are suitable for complete beginners.We recommend the advanced training to participants who already have at least some basic experience with roasting.
